School children of Khanty-Mansiysk had a chance to talk to the French biathletes Pauline Macabies, Jean Beatrix, Sergey Naumik of Kazakhstan and Michaela Ponza of Italy. The Russian national team was represented by Svetlana Sleptsova and Alexey Volkov. Everyone could come up to the microphone and ask any question. Many children gladly took the opportunity. The questions were quite diverse: what’s the maximum skiing speed? When did the biathletes get their first medals? Why did they take up biathlon in the first place? Have they ever been hit on the head by pines cones? Do they believe in Santa Clause? After the conversation the biathletes were given presents and those kids whose questions were the most interesting got tickets for the World Championships Biathlon races and caps.
Afterwards the biathletes gave autographs to the children.
