E.ON IBU World Cup Biathlon

The regular meeting of the Organizing Committee of the World Cup Biathlon Final 2012 took part in the Okrug Government last Friday. Special attention was paid to the visas and transportation issues, also to the fast Internet access for the teams, biathlon fans and guests of the town.

According to the words of the Head of the regionall the information including all the graphics, schedules of the transport should be available for everybody. «On a real-time basis all the necessary consultations and approvals connected with the issue of Russian visas should be organized. Also it is necessary to provide with the Internet of a high quality all the hotels, restaurants and cafes. Such an approach today is a carte-de-visite of each serious event. Particularly Ugra is hosting World Cup Biathlon for the seventh time and we have a great experience in organizing such events», – noted Natalya Komarova.

Athletesfrom 25 countries from all over the world sent applications for participation in the event. The Executive Director of the Organizing Committee Spartak Antonenkov told that the participants will be accommodated in two hotels – “On seven hills” and “Olympic”. Three charter flights from Munich to Khanty-Mansiysk will be organized for the biathletes and their accompanying people. And one cargo flight will bring the luggage of the biathletes.

About 350 volunteers will serve the event. They will be provided with the clothes and boots suitable for the different weather conditions and with special catering.

The press office of the Governor informed that 4000 tourists are waited for in the capital of Ugra during World Cup Biathlon Final this year.

Total 37 thousands of tickets will be sold. Today there is a task to organize the additional places for the tickets sale which will be convenient for the spectators including the privileged categories of the spectators who will be able to buy the half-price tickets.

The places of the official ceremonies of the World Cup aredefined. The Opening Ceremony will take place in the cultural and entertainment complex “Arena-Ugra” and the Closing Ceremony will take place in the concert and theatre center “Ugra-Classic”.
