The chief director Olga Buryak and the director of «Kultura» Art Union Irina Polovnikova told the Press Center what the audience and guests should expect from the ceremony.

In accordance with Olga Buryak, the chief director of «Kultura» Art Union, the IPC Biathlon and Cross-Country Skiing World Championships 2011 is the 10th, that’s why the main idea of the Closing Ceremony is the journey around the world. «We will tell about every country, where the World Championships ever took place. The video materials will be accompanied with the music. For example France, on the vocal side, will be presented by Anna Naumova, who is an actress of Nizhnevartovsk Drama Theatre. She will sing a song by Édith Piaf. This way we’ll «cross» all the countries and stop at the World Championships 2011 in Khanty-Mansiysk».

During the ceremony the brightest moments of the World Championships will be shown for the audience to have one more chance to feel the tension of fights for medals and the thrill of victories. «At the Ceremony we will tell about the best athletes – a man and a woman, who won the biggest amount of medals. By the way, we have a special thrill of the ceremony, but we’d rather not tell about it yet. We want it to be a surprise for everybody», – whispered Irina Polovnikova.

Olga Buryak also noticed that the art groups from Nyagan, Langepas, Nizhnevartovsk and Khanty-Mansiysk will take part in the preparation for this event. «It’s a great pleasure to work with the professional teams, who can prepare a great show for a minimum time, – emphasized the chief director. – We invite everybody to the World Championships Closing Ceremony and we hope that the audience will be surprised».
