E.ON IBU World Cup Biathlon

RBU vice president Vadim Melikhov and the competition chef Vladimir Bragin marked the high level of preparatory works  for the upcoming World Cup Biathlon Finals 2012.

The competition starts in three days. Tomorrow two official trainings of the athletes will take place. Stadium is claimed to be absolutely ready and even the possibility of heavy snowfall won’t  be a problem thanks to the special equipment.

“At the moment all the services are ready” – says the competition chef Vladimir Bragin, – “all transportation, customs, athletes and guests of the city safety, and food  matters are regulated. Also the accommodation problems are solved. Today all commission members have arrived.  During the meeting  all the necessary tasks were set including the inspection of the stadium. All the matters will be covered by the end of the day. Also, the first meeting of the teams representatives will be held tomorrow. All their requests will be taken into consideration.”

Charters remain one of the difficulties. The separate arrival of sportsmen luggage by the means of charter is a significant innovation for the Organizing Committee. It is a very complicated process, but the luggage will be delivered in time.

“Organizing Committee works very hard, all the problems are solved immediately – marked the RBU vice-president Vadim Melikhov – “ The Biathlon complex is always ready to hold a competition of any level, but every time we want to make things even better, bring innovations to the process of organization of sport events. For example, this year, for the spectators’ comfort the place of the award ceremony has changed. The issue on the artists’ performance in free of competition time is also under the consideration. Also the indoors opening ceremony proposes big opportunities besides it is very convenient. “

We remind you that the IBU sport director arrives in the capital of Ugra on the 14th of March and will give the final opinion on the preparatory works of the competition.
