E.ON IBU World Cup Biathlon

During the World Cup Biathlon Finals in Khanty-Mansiysk in the “Cinema Profi” and “Cinema Lux” theatres citizens and guests of the city will be able to meet the characters of historical adventure “Red Ice. Saga about indigenous people of Ugra” based on the famous novel of Eremey Aypin “Mother of God in Blood-Red Snows”.

The western relates to the Kazym revolt of the ostyaks ( people of Khanty) in 1933 also known as Kazym Revolt which was cruelly suppressed in 1934-1935 by the Red Army and NKVD.

The movie is full of episodes showing the culture and traditions of Khanty people – sacrificial offering, bear honoring and real Khanty wedding.
