Everyone knows what people are wearing, but only chosen-ones know how the gods are dressed.  Who and how made clothes for gods and spirit protectors? How were the clothes presented, put on and used? Can we speak about fashion in the rites and rituals? You can find the answers in the new project of the Human and Nature museum, “Fashion of Spirits”.

This is a unique interactive installation and sacral attributes exposition of the Human and Nature museum with the cult collection multimedia catalogue. The designer’s daring decision and the captivating vision of the Ob-Ugric people are the peculiarities of the project.

The interactive installation uses the modern technologies of the computer vision, movement detection, graphics and sounds generation. Spectators can interact with the installation, generating images and sounds, and plunging into a special atmosphere of the exposition. The sounds, which represent the spirits of the khanty and mansi peoples, lead a visitor to the lighted podium in the center of the hall, where his clothes are coloured by the magic graphics of a spirit. On the screen the visitor can see the way the graphics on his clothes are turning into the image of the spirit. Each visitor not only gets a picture, which will be published on the official site of the installation, but also have a possibility to download all the information on the exposition and to promote it in social networks.

The project “Fashion of Spirits” gives spectators an opportunity to get unforgettable impression, and to learn more about the indigenous people of the North.

«How Ivan the Fool became a Tsarevich»

Popular Russsian writer Sergey Sedov presents old Russian fairy tale in a modern interpretation. Featuring well-known characters such as Ivan the Fool and his brothers, Zmey Gorynych, baba Yaga, princess Beauty and others. This famous fairy tale told in a new, ironic way will be interesting both for kids and grown-ups.
